Blend door fault

02 Chevy Trailblazer. The blend door that controls air goes defrost, vent, feet or both. when first turned on air comes out of vent, after 15 - 20 sceonds air away form vets to the defrost no matter which position you put the control switch in. Every time you apply power to the actator it let air come out of the vent then it goes away up to the defrost. I can see the actator move the door then it goes back to it's position it started in. My question is it the actator or the switch that's bad ?

Some vehicles have vent systems that are controled useing vacum, and that system my have a leak somewhere. The best way to check for a leak is to take your vehicle to a good service garage to be tested with a smoke machine. It is programed into the vehicals computer to override the controls and keep the windshield clear if there is a problem.
