Bmw car problem

I have a 93 325i bmw.When i stop at a light .A screw with a ! Point pops up on the dashboard and makes the car real slow from taking off.But if i turn the car off for like 10 seconds and turn it back on its gone and the car runs fine.Any clue on what triggers it to go off
