It this a 2-cycle, and you put oil in the gas. The new one are a 4-cycle, no oil in gas.
Better add a little more. The price is right. I think its coming no 2-cycle. But , it be a in the future. Good deal.
It depends on the regulations pertaining to the lake. Some lakes do not permit the use of internal combustion engines for boating purposes.
In every lake by me, we are required to use a Minn-Kota, or an equivalent type of electric motor.
That is a pretty good deal, just make sure where you can use it...
Yes, it can be true that you can't take a 2 cycle engine on some lakes in SC. The only ones I know of are private fishing lakes. Any public waterway in SC allows the use of ALL outboards, 2 cycle and 4 cycle. As far as the boat, it's hard to say without more details. Honestly, any boat that you like, is in decent shape and runs good for $500.00 is a steal in my book. A used 70 Hp Johnson that runs good will sell for about $400 - $700 by itself. Johnson is always a safe bet too. They are very reliable and almost any boat mechanic can service it when needed. Good luck.
