Depends on what kind of car and how wrecked. Drivable fender benders are salable as is. while non drivable can be sold as parts cars or sold with a rebuilder title. some can be sold as parts cars and let the rebuilder worry about getting the rebuilt title. Then if fire or high speed is involved they are most good as scrap metal.

Junk yards will pay you to let them pick up your wrecked vehicle. Just get out your yellow pages, find a junk yard near you, and call them up.
