Yes you can but the best way is remove the head first you need a spring compressor and they can be done with out removing head but not recommended for a novice you need a spark plug adaptor air compressor each valve done at top dead center for that valve set and spring compresserand if you drop a valve you still have to remove head to fix it another way to save$$ is to take head off and take to a engine shop for a valve job they will clean head reseat valves check valve guides and replace all seals
