Everything will be based on, How much the car was REALLY worth, How much you financed, and how much cash you can come up with for a trade in.
Keep in mind that the car lots are going to deduct for damage even though it was repaired.
Best thing to do (If you really feel the need to get rid of the car) is to go to the car lot and explain to them that you feel a very powerfull urge to replace the car and you want to know what they can do to help.
If they aren't able to help, Go to another lot, The best way to do this is at your local "credit builder lot" The one that overcharges for new cars, They will have "special financing" That means that they guarantee the note, (They will deny that guarantee, but they do it) anyway, The end cost will be high, The interest will be high, You will likely have to finance for 7 years.
It all depends on how badle you want to get out of the car.

You can't really do what I am going to suggest, but you can get close.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------
For future and others, You hear about people getting unreal deals on cars, You hear about stupid low prices, I have bought 3 new GMC trucks in the past 5 years, I have paid about 85% of book, 74% of book, and 63% of book.
I bought a NEW regular cab 2006 GMC bright red, 6 cyl auto, basic options, tilt/cruise/air/40.60 seat.
The book was $21,800, I paid $14,300. Actual price, and YES it was financed through GMAC.

Heres how you do it,
KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT, including, motor, color, cab, everything.
Tell the lots that you are calling every dealer within 150 miles.
(( some dealers will not even talk to you, I've even been hung up on while talking))
Tell them that nothing about your vehicle is up for debate.
DO NOT TELL THEM YOU HAVE ANY MONEY DOWN OR A TRADE.
TAKE NOTES,
DO! call every dealer within 150 miles, You can do a search for numbers online, ( chevy dealer Fort Smith Ar) Chevy dealer Little Rock) and so on,You will find every dealer, even ones you never heard of.
When a dealer calls you back with a truck, put a check by everything on your list that matches what they say. Tell them that you are not driving for nothing.
Some will lie to get you to drive, Knowing that you may get fedup and just buy what they have.
If they lie to you, Don't even give them a chance to make it right, JUST LEAVE. Tell them you will do this before hand too.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------
When I bought the truck for $14,300, I actually told them that my top dollar was $14,500, He told me $14,300.
GREAT DEAL.
