If it's 4th degree joyriding (no harm to people or property) then a maximum sentence would be 18 months in jail and $7,500 fine.
If it's 3rd degree and you caused damage to people or property, then if could be 3-5 years in jail and a fine of $7,500.
That is why it is good to go to your court dates so your can defend yourself and you walk out with a lesser charge most of the time. I would contact the department and get this sorted out. You don't want a bench warrant.

Bench warrent has already been enterd , you must now turn yourself in to the police , and bond out , or if they think you are a flight risk , they will hold you till court date , is reset , please dont miss your court date , the judge will take this , as he dont care, and give you a harder sentence, mahola is right
