Car left on my property

This is May in December one of my husbands friends brought a car to our house and left it he said that he would be back in two weeks to get it . He is not picked it up still we are going on 6 months. I have hade people offer this guy money and my husband called to see if he wanted to sell it but he had lost the key. He wanted us to call a locksmith and have a key made but i was not paying for a key to be made. What can I legally do with this car it is taking up room in my yard it is in the way.

Depending on the year, a key can be made by the dealer using the VIN number, and the key code stored the dealer database.

Other than towing it to where he lives, I really don't have any other solutions at the present time, as you are not the titled owner of the vehicle.

You need to send the "friend" a certified letter giving him 30 days to remove the car or it will be towed at his expense.
You can actually legally do it now in most states, But, I would do the letter thing first.
If he gets mad then you know what kind of friend he is.
