Car problem rapid acceleration

I recently had engine work done on my nissan quest, knock sencor crank senson, etc. Since then, on three occasions I experienced rapid acceleration with the van with little effect when applying the brakes. I have had to quickly place the van in park to get it to stop. any idea of what this might be?

There may be different reasons for this but you may try tighten the manifold to the engine as this is one reason that could cause the problem you have concerns with. It may not have been tightened down during repairs.
