Co signing on a car

My mother co-signed on a car with me. The payments have been made. She clams that shes made 2 and I have proof that I've made 3. Now shes trying to take the car back, can she do that?

No, you are the owner of the car. If you defaulted on your payments then she may have some say because it's her credit that gets ruined as well. But she is not a co-owner, so if she is trying to take it back and you are making payments, she can't do that. If you are paying late or something though, don't ruin her credit - pay on time or give her the car.

Is the car paid off? is the title in your name if it is paid off?

who was the primary loan signer, you or your mom?
