Converting an r12 system to r134a

I work at a new car dealer and I have a customer with a 1992 car and he wants me to convert it from r12 to r134a. And I want to know what the regulations are.

Take out the old freon, with the machine thats state approved, dont release it in the air, and do a change over kit, to 134 , thats it
