Does my car need more than an alignment?

My son's 1996 Dodge Stratus got hit in the front end by a very large trash can on a windy day which started making his car pull to the right. I also noticed that the front tires have worn down to the metal very quickly on the inside (probably within two to three weeks; 1,000 miles). The steering also seems a little off to me. Could there possibly be a problem with a tie rod end, cv joint, ball joint? There is nothing leaking underneath and all fluids are fine.

I was just looking for information as he's in college and I don't what to spend a fortune fixing a car that might not be worth it. Thank you.

You might have some one to ajust the tie rod, when you take it to get an alinement, sounds like the toe in is out, of line,
