Have your vehicles voltage output checked if it is too high you may have a faulty voltage regulator.
High voltage can cause bulb failure. If the voltage is too high your alternator may have to be replaced.

(Hint) Make sure when you replace a bulb never to touch the bulbs surface with your fingers. The oil on your fingers will cause early bulb failure.

the alternator would not deliver more voltage to one light than the other . if its the left side that blows all the time i would check the left side wiring for a bad connection or corrosion in the socket or maybe a bad or missing seal on the light housing that letting moisture and or road film in causing the bulb to blow , also don't touch the glass part of the new bulb when you install it and that the bulb is snug in the housing and sealed up , no movement in it .
