Engine has no acceleration

I have a 1996 chevy lumina 3.1 engine it has no acceleration and the code comes up that # 1 engine bank running lean. what could be the problem?

If your engine is running lean it means that there is to much air not enough fuel. your o2 sensors are the sensors that read your exhaust and tell your computer whats going on. chances are those couldbe bad if you take your car to any local name brand auto store they will run a diagnostic for free.
