Fault in alarm on 95 Chrysler Sebring XLI

My grandaughters 95 Sebring alarm goes off when she uses the key to open the vehicle. The alarms continues for about two minutes then she can operate the car normally. Should I be looking for an electrical problem or mechanical problems like the door locks?

If the alarm can't be turned off manually after getting into the vehicle and has to go through a two minute cycle before it shuts off I would say you have an alarm problem that must be looked at by an alarm installing company or specialist.
