1994 Ford Explorer Wiper Motor Service:

1. Cycle wipers until they are in a straight up position on windshield then turn key off.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3.Remove right hand wiper arm and blade assembly then right hand pivot nut and allow linkage to
drop into cowl.
4. Remove linkage access cover from right hand side of dash panel.
5.. Release wiper motor retaining clip, then slide clip back until it clears the nib on crank pin, and
and remove the clip.
(NOTE: the wiper motor retaining clip can be reached through the access cover opening)

1. Install wiper motor and torque screws to 10 - 14 ft. lbs.
2. Connect wiper motor electrical connector.
(NOTE: DO NOT install linkage on motor crankpin, then attempt to install clip)
3. Install left hand linkage on motor crank pin, then install clip.
4. Install right hand pivot shaft and nut and torque to 7 - 10 ft. ibs.
5. Connect battery ground cable turn ignition switch to on position, then turn wiper switch off so wiper motor will park then turn ignition switch off..
6. Install right hand linkage cover then right hand blade and arm.
Check for proper operation.
