Heater only works on defrost

Replaced heater core on my 98 dodge dakota. Now it only blows heat thru the defrost vents. The heater controlll worked before i replaced the heater core. All lines are hooked up to thr actuators. Please help.

I dont know what they're called, but there are valves that switch from defrost to vent,etc. Also if electronic, the controls could malfunction.

Also check the vacuum llnes under the hood by the firewall. Many times I find these off. See if you can if you haven't done so already get under the dash and work the heater controls and see if the door actuators are moving fully. If it worked before you had heater fixed you may have a stuck door.
