How can i get my name off a title?

While in this serious relationship with this guy for 4 years i cosigned for this car while we were together but now we're not together and would like my name off the car and i haven't seen or heard from him or seen the car in years have tried numerous times to find him or a way to get my name off the car. i did a bill of sell on the title cause i thought that would work but it didn't cause it's still on my credit i don't wish to have the car i would like my name off the car how can i get my name off Please help!

Report your car stolen and when and if its found you can sort out the mess with your Ex ,
till that time reporting it stolen will keep you out of trouble legally .
