How do i change battery cables

I have a 1987 nissan pathfinder V6 and I need to change the positive battery cable....how do i do that?

The easiest thing for you to do would be getting a manual, namely chiltons(my personal prefference) but i believe the positive is connected to the alternator.

Go to any parts house like auto zone they can pull the diagram up on their computer and give a copy
