How do I get the hood open after the hood release cable breaks?

It's a 1989 Ford F150 1/2 ton pu 2wd. The hood release cable broke. How can I get the hood open in order to fix it or replace it?

Unbolt the hood latch from the radiator support. The bolts are behind the grill.

Is there any cable left where the handle was? if so ,use a pair of pliers and pull on the strands of cable
