How to replace a 1998 Mazda Protege rear motor mount?

It seems ike the firewall is sitting right over the 3 bolts on the subframe. There is minimal room to access to head and once you do, you can't apply enough torque without the wrench slipping off.
Everyone else says I should be able to get to them from the top, but again, the firewall is over the bolt heads. In 1982, I once had to raise the body off of the frame of a Mustang II to do similar work on a starter, wiring and plumbing. I really don't want to do that again. Any ideas?
