I am having clutch problems!

A little while ago I went out to start my car. It is a manual and when i pushed the clutch in after starting it, the clutch went all the way to the floor. I can pull the clutch back up with my hand, but it just goes right to the floor and sticks when i attempt to get the car going. Does anyone know what might cause this?
