I live in Florida, and I am needing to get out of my auto loan. We have talked to a local auto dealer. I owe more on my vehicle than it is worth, and in these times, I know this may be tough. The financial advisor for the auto dealer has suggested a

Voluntary repossesion, claiming that they cannot come after me for the money that would remain after the financial institution sells my vehicle. Is this true!?! I worked in finance for years, previously, and I disagree. Please HELP!

Yes they will come after you for the money after they sell it for nothing. and i mean nothing right now in the car market. trucks and cars like this are bringing nothing at auction . no one is buying. my son has a dealership and he will tell you. that they are lying to you. ive heard him tell people over the last 2 days about this very thing. so dont go for this. if you give it back . you might have to pay big time. and they will come after you. the way things are right now.
