I need a wiring diagram/ Blower switch/ 1996 GMC silverado 1500 4wd

This being the 3rd switch due to heat degradation The switch cost 16.95. When I inquired about the cost of the blower switch connector from GMC, also somewhat deformed from heat, I was surprized at the need to dish out 85 dollars for this little piece. I plan on hard wiring the switch if need be. Before this switch failed to control the blower (some speeds) the light and air allways worked. Now all speeds work but, the air (compressor) doesn't. I checked all pins-seem ok

In past times i would be missing 1 or 2 speeds and the air indicator light would always turn on indicating that the air was on (compressor running). Now after replacing the switch i have all speeds, air indicator light not lit nor air. The air direction panel, now, also fails to move! Thanks
