My suggestion to you is to either open your own business and work for yourself. This is great if you are able to do labor type work or blue collar work.
If this is not suitable for you then I would suggest going to school and getting a degree in computer technologies. Any of the many possiblities will allow you to work for yoursefl and you won't have to worry about any issues. Most of the top paying jobs. ie white collar jobs will require a background check and you may have a difficult time.
Last thought is how long has it been? If it has been a while be up front with the person conducting the interview. Let them know what happened. Accept responsibility and tell them what you have done with yourself since. I personally would not have a problem with hiring someone especially if I could see they were telling me the truth and were up front about it as well as let me know what they are doing with themself to improve and keep it from happening again.
Good luck and I hope you land that job that will help you turn the corner to your second chance.
