Installing pistons

I am taking apart my 76 mgb 4-cyl 18v engine. Which way do the notches in the pistons face in there bores .Do they all face forward ? Any help ?

The rods and rod caps have a make on them that should line up with each other , place 2 rods and caps on the same throw of the crank and make sure they fit ok , turn the crank over and make sure it turns freely and don't lock up the crank , is will mean they are installed correctly , I am not sure which way the notches go on the pistons go but he rod and rod caps must match up, if these are correct the piston notches will be also

All notches point toward the front of the engine
