PLPD stands for Personal Liability and Property Damage coverage. PLPD is generally the minimum coverage one can obtain for auto insurance. It does not cover your vehicle if damaged, only liabilities of other vehicles and properties involved in an accident should it be your fault. Not only liabilities of other vehicles and properties but also covers usually up to $100,000 in medical expenses for yourself and your passengers.
