Kubota Tractor

I own a L2950D Kubota tractor 4WD, I think it is a 94 model. Recently to start it I had to almost engage it in forward or reverse before it would turn over, well now it will not even turn over. The starter does not engage nor does the bendix. Is there some type of safety switch that is not telling the starter to engage? Is there some type of switch in the clutch mechanism that is not allowing the starter to engage? Or has my clutch gone out? When running I have no trouble shifting and the clutch appears just fine.
I would appreciate any word of advice or wisdom.
Sincerely
Phil Hicks
