You need a lawyer . Sounds like you were not going fast at all. I'm willing bet the other person already had a bad back . But it will take another to dig up that's guys past medi al to pro e that he is useing this to blame so he don't have to pay. Then you would be sue him for wrong full claim. Otherwise you will have to pay . I don't see how it's costing so much . Unless the accident was major but sounds of it it wasn't . Go consult with lawyer it's free if you dont like what the first one says goto another .

You should have consulted an attorney long before this, People often beleiev that their insurance company provided them legal representation, This is fals. They provide representation for themselves and they are only concerned up to the limits of liability. After that , you are on your own, and your own insurance will throw you under the bus. You need to find a PI attorney that will still take this case at this stage , which will be difficult, since your insurance company has evidently noy put up any resisitance to this claim ( strange). A judgment against you could outlive you, so hurry. In some state even with the debtor type of homestead exemption, PI judgments can still be levied on your home and PI judgmenst are not dischargeable in bankruptcy. I hope anyone else that reads this acts swiftly if they are in an accident.
