Year, make and model of your vehicle? See if it will start with starting fluid, or ether by spraying it in the intake. then you know you have a fuel delivery issue. See if you have spark, or take it to your local mechanic.

There are three reasons an engine will or will not start. Fuel, timing and electrical spark. They must get to the cylendar at the same time. One is missing. No fuel to the cylendar, No spark or they are not getting there at the same time. When broken down like this trouble shooting any one can make a educated guess.
