I put a b303 cam and roller lifters in a stock 302. I need to know if the pushrod lengths are different or are the stock valve springs not strong enough because my lifters will not stay primed. they leak down after the engine is turned off.

Lifters bleeding off are a sign of valve springs being to strong. Not to weak. As to push rod length. Stock 302 Fords have different length push rods depending on the year. The only true way to determine correct push rod length is to check your valve train geometry. This is something much overlooked but should be done any time hi performance valve train/camshaft modifications are done. And is especially critical on a NON_ADJUSTABLE valve train. If the Geometry is correct the tip of the rocker arm will travel in the center of the trip of the valve stem as the engine is rotated. If the push rods are the wrong length the tip of the rocker will ride either on the outside or inside edge of the tip of the valve stem and will wear the valve tip as well as cause premature wear of the valve guides.Any time I build a hi-performance small block ford I convert the non- adjustable valve train to adjustable. I would recommend you check with Ford Motorsports or Comp Cams or Crower Cams for info on checking the geometry and conversion kits. There is a tool available to check the geometry. If you have a machine shop near you that does hi-performance work they can help you also. Also I don't recall the specs of the B303 cam but it seems you may not have sufficient valve spring travel and spring retainer to valve guide/valve seal clearance for the lift of this cam.

I wnet to FORD RACEING PARTS web site and typed in B303 in the search box. The notations for that cam don't say you need different push rods. Check it out.
