I think Bahrain may be wrong on this one. What I mean is It depends on which 2.5 GM engine you are talking about. They put 2.5 Pontiac engines in Chevy's which is 151 cubic inches and there is also the old 2.5 litre Chevy engine which is 153 cubic inches like what is in a lot of boats and the old Chevy II Nova.
For the Pontiac engine such as what came in Citations, Grand Ams and lots of other Gm cars in the 80's and 90's it depends on the VIN Code. The VIN "R" engine and the VIN "U" engine have different torque specs and they actually use "torque to yield" head bolts. I recomend you go to Auto Zones web site for the specs.

Sorry, Sorry. I have reseach this. On was 18,26. Another was 61, 72, 90ft bs. What I was says to start with. I don't have any of my books. Like above said.. Go to www.autozone.com Log in. Then to vehicle repair guides. Specification, click on that . Find head troque. It will shows what you what.
