Why dos my car stall

When driving car stalls dash lights fliker and gages move back and fourth.after stalling i have to let it sit about 15 min befor it will start back up.

Could be a number of problems , start simple , check battery connection , tight? no corrosion?
check alternator belt, loose? next try fuel injector cleaner addad to gas
