Car wont shift out of park Blinkers stoped working and my car starts fine but wont shift out of park its a 2001 suzuki...

My 2003 ford explorer will not shift out of park,what are possible causes? It has been getting hard to shift out of park for a few days and finally will not at all.

Ceck your brake lights for proper operation as the shift lock solenoid in the shifter is controlled by it, if your brake lights work suspect a faulty solenoid, if they dont suspect a faulty brake light switch.

I found my problem on my on. It was a short in the brake lights. I would like my $13.00 refunded to my credit card.
