My car ignition will not turn back to the lock psition

The ignition on my 2001 pontiac grand prix will not go back to the lock position so i can not remove my keys what is wrong with it

Have you tried moving the wheel and pulling on the keys , if you have then you have a switch thats bad, and worn out

The iginition switch is bad. replace the ignition swith.. the thing that the key goes in
