My car shuts off while driving

As i am driving the rpm gadge goes to zero and the spikes back to normal. Today it did the same thing except it completely shut off and the oil light came on as well as cruise control. After 20 minutes was able to start back up. Not sure what's wrong it was just at the garage tuesday

I just had this problem with my mustang, the problem ended up being the ignition module, they have a tendency to overheat. Mine was locaed right on the distributor, hard to get to, but only cost me $26 to fix.
It has been running great ever since.
Hope that helps
Regards
