Check that when you put the thermostat in it wasn't installed upside down [ if not sure on the thermostat the small round pice of metal about the size of a dime goes in the block ]===if this happened it would probably overheat within 10 to 20 min. [ if you need to check the thermostate drop it in boiling water and you can see if it opens ] also check the serpentine belt is correct and not driving the pump in the wrong direction check the oil doesnt have water in it if it does it will look milky white check radiator for exaust gas or oil these would indicate head or head gasket damage . these are the easiest of things to check ===good luck
