A hesitation would be when you 1st gave it the gas not at full throttle , at full trottlew it would be more of a shut down , from lack of gas or power coil breaking down at higher RPMs
at higher RPMs in 1 - 3 gears you use more gas , set you float level higher in your carb

I am also getting alot of fuel/oil discharge out of the left tail pipe and it seems to have less exhaust pressure than the right side
