Negative equity - over allowance

My daughter bought a brand new 2008 VW Jetta, sticker price $18000, the dealer rolled in the trade in of her 2005 Hyundai accent to the sale price of $24500. They did not tell her that were only paying $3000 of the blance of the trade which was $6500 and tacked it on to the sticker price. When I went with her to the dealer, the finance person said that they can add whatever they want to the sticker as an addendum to the price. But almost $6000 seems ridiculous. Does she have any rights, does she have to keep this car even it it has only been 9-10 days from day of purchase?

The dealer is right to say he can do this, because if you let them , they will do any thing, and thats a trade to them , but since you have already kept the car , this long , and drove it, its a used car now, and wont be able to do any thing, if you had contested it that day, it would have been ok , but now the deal is done, iam so sorry she was treated this way,
