Private shop warranty repairs

We have had a service vehicle at a local repair shop pending a warranty repair. The initial services to repalce teh transmission failed almost immediately; we then returned teh vehicle and a promise was made to repalce teh transmission for us at no cost. the issue now has become that we are losing monies everyday we do not have this Service vehicle fielded. Time and again we are promised a date and each time teh date is not ment we are frustrated and wonder if we have any legal recourse?
