Should I represent myself Pro Se, or ask for a court appointed attorney?

I was cited for expired registration, and subsequently a dui in Summit County, Ohio on March 9, 2008. I refused submitting to a breathalyzer, so there is no blood alcohol evidence. At my hearing I pled Not Guilty. My pretrial court date has been set for March 28th.

I did submit partially to a Field Sobriety test, however, after researching the rules of such a test I think it should be inadmissible due to the fact of the surface being wet uneven pavement, with snow and ice covering most of the area.

My previous conviction was in February of 2005, also in Ohio. This is my second dui within 6 years, and I can't afford an attorney. I have also looked up the penalties for a conviction on this charge.

It 's been said that someone who represents him self in court has a fool for a lawyer, that was probably a lawyer that started that saying ( he he ) , I would get a court appointed attorney hey do know a lot more about the law than you do .
