buy the thermostat , fine the thermostat housing at the end of the top radiator hose take out the bolts and remove the old thermostat, notice how it comes out with the flat side up, clean the housing and block of old gasket , put the new thermostat in with flaat side up , put the gasket on make sure the thermostat is down in its grove in the block correctly , if its cocked up on one side your going to brake your thermostat houseing when you tighten it down , bolt it back together make sure the bolts are good and tight but dont brake them off , add coolant and stir well bake for 10 mins at 180 degrees , ( hehe ) make sure there are no leaks , if it leaks go back to parts store and get some gasket sealer and take it off and put some on both sides of the gasket , or to be safe you can put gasket sealer on the 1st time , your choice
your done happy motoring
