I have a 2000 Ford Mustang 4 speed. First I love my car but I am having upper and lower leg and back problems . Oh not from the car but my condition. But the Clutch Pedal is realy getting hard to keep pushing in all the time now,. So my Question is, is there a way to make this car have a softer Clucth Pelal so that I can keep this car. You are physically using and abusing your body to operate your vehicle. I am not aware of any special device that would enable you to push the clutch in any easier. I think for health reasons you should seriously think about a car will an automatic transmission. Dr.Spout has spoken :)

Sorry to say... Sounds like your throwout bearing, clutch, or both need to be replaced. Sometimes the release springs in your clutch get bent and it makes the clutch hard to push. Don't know why really, it just happens.

To add to what mikespeed says the Clutch cables also get stiff. and streach if you put in a clutch dont foget that part it could be the whole problem.
