Sunroof problem

2001 Ford Escape..Have sunroof that opens slowly as it makes clicking and straining noises...like it's skipping..click a tee noise. When I try closing I have to push to help it as it continues to strain and click. Your thoughts please.......

My escape does that too.. it's also a 2001. I have no idea what the problem is, but I think maybe it's linked to why my hatch/truck door won't open half of the time.

I have no idea why the sunroof is doing that, but mine does the same thing so I'd love to find out. My hatch/trunk sometimes won't open either, I think the two could be connected.
