TF904 85 Jeep Cherokee Problems

TF904 was rebuilt 6yrs ago and has been sitting indoors for 5 yrs. There was a puddle of trans fluid under jeep. Changed filter/gasket now zero leaks.Have to put into drive hold brake down rev engine 30-40 seconds then jeep will move. Only when cold I live in FL keys. What's up, have some seals dryed or just bad valve body needs rebuild from no fluid 4-5 yrs (dry). Once the jeep is moving little slugish and when hot still does not have get up an go. Thanks Ron

Id say the seals are dryed out and the bands are to , it wouldnt hurt to put some transmission care products in to see if it helps, they have some stuff, at the parts store that is supposed to help dry seals and such, and theres probley gunk built up in the valve body also , and wont let the fuild push under pressure like it should , you might take it to a quicke stop oil change place, and let them do a complete transmission fuild change, they have a machine that will do that, and push all of the old fuild out and push in new thta might also break up the gunk , it costs about 89.00 or used to , hope this helps some way
