Tire sizes.

The tires on my car are size 195/60/15. Will size 195/65/15 fit properly? It is a pontiac pursuit.

195 = the width of the tire in Millimeters
60/65 = Aspect ratio - This sidewall's height is roughly 55% of the tire's width
15 = Nominal rim diameter code of the wheel on which the tire fits

My hubby who sells tires says yes, it will fit fine. it is a tiny bit taller.

195 is the Tires Height in Millimeters
65 Is the Width In Millimeters
and 15 is the Rim Height in Inches

The tire should fit.but only if you place another of same size and make on the opisite side or it will create handling problems , i would replace all four tires because they are just a little taller. also your speedomiter will read a little off ! p.s. the 60/65 is the side wall hight.
