Torque for exhaust/intake manifold on H225 slant 6?

Im attempting to remove and replace intake manifold gaskets my self lookin for some photos of things and maybe even a step by step procedure on how to do it, can you help

I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0. the exhaust manifold separated from the exhaust pipe and black smoke is coming out. is this going to damage my engine?
