But that does not answer the question of shifting soft and hard when warm or cold. I also checked it does not shift down from high gears to lower gears i have to manually shift from drive to 2nd to get to the lower gears to start out in 1st.

What do you think that , whens its warm , it may be slipping a bit that makes it soft, and when its cold , the fuild is making it hard, what do you think , i belive this might be it, and talked to the master mach, at the chev dealer where my son works , and he said it needs a big fix, that you should take it in.

If I leave the blazer in D the transmission down shifts and up shifts good. The minute I put it in overD it has a problem down shifting. If i leave tranny in overD I have to manually put tranny in D or 2 for it to down shift to start in 1 again.

Sounds like you have a seal issue.Check 2-4 servo and see how the rubber seals look and if they are getting hard. You will tell when you go to remove them.
Remember there are 2 steel seels which should be good.
