My tranny fluid smells burnt and the transmission temperature light comes on after about a half houd of driving if my RPM exceed 3000. I found if I keep is around 2000 RPM the overdrive will still turnoff but it keeps my temperature down. I am going to get it fixed this week but wanted to know if there was any way to be safe and not do more damage until then. Thank you
