UNPAID AMBULANCE BILL AFTER SETTLEMENT

My son was in an auto accident. The insurance company said there was a lein on the claim from the ambulance company that carried him to the hospital. They were suppose to have paid it before distributing the pain and suffering to my son. They did not - we did not know it was unpaid. Now 5 months later the ambulance company is billing us and the insurance company left a message on my answering maching saying the bill was suppose to have been paid out of the money my son recieved and she said "I hope you will do the right thing" and pay the bill. Are we responsible for the ambulance bill?

If it was their responsibility to pay all of the medical bills then it was an oversight by them and they should be responsible.

CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY!
They need t be notified and I guarantee you they WILL collect from the attorney who knows that bill should have been paid!
I had the same thing happen to me several years ago- It's seemingly a scam so the attorney and any medical providers get a larger portion of the disbursement.
If that call does not work, call the Commissioner Insurance in your state.
